My First Day At Office

“ Oh God .I am dead . How on Earth am I going to face my dad . Oh! No” I exclaimed , sweat forming on my brow .
It was Monday , I woke up late for the school . Unfortunately the gate’s of the school were closed and I was not allowed to enter the school . So, my dad was very annoyed with me and he was thundering loudly at me .I argued with my father that his life was easier than mine as he had no rules to follow . So, he gave me a challenge that for a day I had to be the boss of his office and had to maintain the position and the decorum of the office nicely and properly .
I was elated and my eyes were shining with joy and excitement when I had to miss the school and had to sit in the office in an air-conditioned room .As I reached the office I was exilirated as everyone there stood up and wished me . They were all taken aback and left gaping with wonder when they saw that instead of my father I had arrived in the office .I told them the truth and they all told me what I had to do . I was left speechless when I saw about a 20 files on my desk . They told me that I had to recheck them and so to understand them I had to read about hundred’s of book’s . I was astonished when I was told that before 7o’clock in the evening , I had to recheck them . At once , I started reading and rechecking them . There was a lot of mess around me as when I would solve a problem another one would come up and at last I would crumble the paper and throw it . I had made a fool of myself by coming there . I was not even 13 years old nor 10th pass but I was doing a job which had to be done by a 40 year old man. I was also told that if I did not submit these files by that evening the office would suffer a great loss . they also told me that if I didn’t then from the best company in India we would reach down to the last company . I was totally terrified and a chill ran down my spine when I heard that . I started crying at that very moment as I had messed up all the files and all the problems which I had rechecked , were all wrong . Now , I literally couldn’t face my dad .
Just then my dad came up to me and told me that it was all a drama or a skit put up to teach me a lesson that we should not be overconfident and instead we should be punctual for everything , and should study hard not only for good marks but for becoming a good educated man like Ratan Tata . It was a day of enlightenment for me as to how to succeed in life .

Essay on a Calamity

TORNADO:

Isn’t it a terrifying word to hear & more petrifying to see or be a victim
of?
We all know what a tornado is – it is basically a calamity that destroys
life. It destroys everything – homes, fields, cattle’s, thousands of men,
animals, trees, etc.

In Khirtanpur the people had been experiencing a fierce tornado
recently.
Our school decided to take us there to help the people as a part of our
social – science project. We thought that it would be very exciting and
new to help the people but on reaching there we were shocked to see
that the people really had to bear the pain and the loss that occurred.
We realised that the natural catastrophe left a trail of destruction in
their way. My friend collapsed on seeing the human suffering and
devastation.
The electricity and telephone poles littered around. Trees were
uprooted. Cars were damaged. We saw families hanging down their
heads and letting down big tears as they some officials shifting dead
bodies. It was such a devastating tragedy which was unimaginable.
We saw people rendering homeless and crying. The uproar of people
showed their great distress. Helpless victims raised their voice for
help. Government provided many rescue forms. Helicopters threw food
packets and water. The army, paramilitary and administrative officials
were also present. The doctors and paramedic were busy disposing
the decomposed bodies.

That day we recognised the true face of nature. We saw that nature
always shows supremacy over Man. But natural calamities are partly
our own undoing. Natural calamities occur when its I gods wish, but
help is done when it is our own wish. So,

--- PLEASE HELP THE NEEDY WHILE YOU CAN !!!!

Letter to describe a scenic place

Dear Kashvi,
I hope you enjoyed your vacation.Last week, I visited Darjeeling and would like to share the experience with you.
To escape the heat of Mumbai,my father decided to take us to Darjeeling in North India.I was taken aback by the scenic beauty. The valley filled with greenery,it looked picturesque. The open green stretch with velvety grass looked great. In our room,I would always sit beside the window and admire the clear and blue water flowing down the stream. The next morning our guide took us for a nature trail.Mountains were bathed in the glory of the rising sun.As we moved ahead,we saw tht the trees were so high that they seemed to receiving messages straight from heaven .There were lush green fields with preety dancing flowers. There were many blooming flowers.Tiny petals were dancing to the tune of the breeze.I was relaxed when I heard the sweet chirpings of the birds.Flowers emitted sweet fragrance which was carried by the breeze far and wide.
Serene, calm, quiet and peaceful life of country-side is fascinating.I am sending you some pictures to share with you the beauty I saw.I hope you like them.Awaiting for your reply.

Autobiography of a Wristwatch

I am a beautiful thing that has diamonds on it and shows time. Guess who am I? I am a pretty watch. My present life is so dreadful and appalling. It is such a contrast to my early life which was filled with bliss and happiness. Now they are only memories.

I was born in a factory. I am golden in color and I have diamonds in me after every line. Technicians put the battery in me, set the correct time and packed me. They dispatched me to a big departmental store in Vile Parle called Alfa. I was displayed in a glass window. Many girls passed by and admired me. They wanted to buy me but I was too expensive. I was for Rs. 24,000. Now I was almost 3 months in the display box and I was getting bored in it. After an hour, I saw a girl coming out of a Ferrari car. I saw a man also coming out of the other door of the car. He was an actor and the girl was his daughter. He had come to buy her a present for it was her birthday today. While coming in she saw me and liked me very much, and told her father to buy me. They went in and bought me. I was so delighted to come out of the display box. We went in her Ferrari car to her house. She quickly showed me to her mother. Her mother told her to wear me the next day for her birthday party. Her name was Dipika. She took me to her room and kept me in my cupboard. After a while she went to sleep. The next day she removed and wore me. The party was in her house. Her house was decorated very well. There was a theme to become cartoon characters. She became a fairy with a wand, her hair tied like a bun and me in her hand. All her friends started coming one by one. They played many games. I slipped from her hand, fell on the ground and broke. She saw me broken and started crying. Her mom quickly picked me up and cheered her. She told Dipika to go back and enjoy the party and that; she would buy her a new watch. While Dipika’s mother was drinking water, she accidently dropped water on me and I lost all my beauty. She put me in her purse. After the party she put the purse in the cupboard. She never removed the purse again. During Diwali, she cleaned her cupboard. She saw the purse and opened it. She saw ma all spoilt, so, she gave the purse to the maid with me in it. The servant opened the purse and saw me, and gave me to her daughter. But, her daughter couldn’t understand that my battery was over. So she threw me in the gutter.

I hope somebody removes me out of this dirty gutter and clean me. Life feels worse than death. I have survived many miseries. I hope in future life has some happiness in store for me.

The most beautiful place i have seen

Lavvasa, what a beautiful place

“Wow!!! This is so beautiful, dad. I love this.” I exclaimed with joy. I was on seventh heaven. My eyes nearly popped out.

Summer vacation had just started. I was wondering where will we go? Suddenly, my dad came and announced that we are going to Lavvasa. It was an overcast sky and a pleasant morning. My dad took me to Lavvasa.

As soon as we reached there I jumped out of the car. It had just rained so everything was wet and foggy. The frogs were jumping in the mossy lily ponds, children were splashing in the puddles and there was a magnificent rainbow which just took my breath away. I was over the moon. Then, we entered into our new and fabulous farmhouse. It was a magnificent house with two floors. From the balcony we could see there were hills filled with greenery – trees, bushes, shrubs and tall grass. My mom explained it rains a lot over here so the greenery is maintained. There were soft green leaves radiated in the sun and strong majestic trees swaying from one side to another.

It was a very picturesque sight which cannot be converted into words. I think I loved this place and you too would like it and would like to come back.

Mother fell ill

Oh no!
“Yippee!” my summer holidays have started. There will be no tension and studying but there will be fun and enjoyment.
One Sunday morning I woke up at 9:00. It was pleasant and a fresh morning. Birds were singing joy fully and the trees were swaying merrily. I went to the kitchen and realized that my mother was not there . I went to her room; she was in bed looking pale. I asked my father what happened he said that mother has fever-104 degrees. I was flabbergasted. I promised her that I will do all the work of the house. I told her to relax and sleep for a while. I kissed her on her cheek and said,” get well soon” and went away. I cleaned the vessels and got Maggie massala from a shop and made Maggie for our lunch. My father helped me with some work. He washed our clothes, swept the floor. At night I was tired so I took a half an hour rest and was back to work. We took a thermometer and saw that my mother had fever with temperature 108.My heart was in my mouth. I called for the doctor. He came and told that it isn’t 108, its 100.8. He gave us some medicines. We gave those medicines to my mother. She was alright then.
My mother saw the work we had done; she was amazed and gave us a party at Rama Krishna Hotel. We were so ecstatic. This was a tiring but yet an enjoyable day.

Advisory letter for better use of pocket money

101, Olympus Complex,
Perry Cross Road,
Mumbai-400050.
9th August, 2010.
Dear Sanil,
I am elated to know that mother has started to give you pocket money. As your older brother I would like to advise you about how to safely use your pocket money.
As it is your pocket money you can spend it on buying items but be careful. When I started I used to spend it to eat roadside food. Mother and father advised me not to do so, but save it. I did not listen and continued spending it which was a sure wastage which I realized later.
You must divide your money into two parts. One part you should sped and the other you should save. A large amount will be saved after a year or two. The proverb ‘every Penney saved is every Penney earned' is absolutely true, and that you should make it your motto.
You can use this money in a good way like subscribe to a story book to improve your English as your last year marks were very bad.
I hope that my advice is useful to you and that you follow it.
Your loving brother,
Miraj

Dear Sanil,
I apologize to you from you bottom of my heart. I am awfully sorry. Forgive me for my misbehavior. I feel small and ashamed of myself. Please accept my sincere apology. Please forget this incident and pardon me.
I feel extremely sorry as I abused you which I should not have done. I was too engrossed in the cricket match which we were playing. When you did not take the catch I got too furious. I was almost out of control. I am feeling very horrible that I cannot bring myself to see you. Please forget the terrible fight we had. We were like bullies. I made a very big issue just because of your dropped catch which was not the spirit of a captain. Let bygones be bygones.
Let’s be friends and have a wonderful time as we had before.

The Animal That I Fear The Most

“Oh! My god, Help me! Help me!” I exclaimed loudly when a spider came in my room.

I simply don’t like creepy crawly creatures. I don’t like the spiders.

One day my mother was going out for an important meeting. I shouted and whooped with joy. As I was taking my breakfast, I saw a spider peer by. I stopped dead in my tracks, my face went white with fear and my legs shook like jelly. I screamed out as loudly as I could but then I knew that no one was there in the house, so no one could help me.

Soon I collected myself and with courage and got ready with my weapon, the bucket and the broom. My hands moved powerfully and I swept the spider and hit it so that it flew in the bucket. I took hold of the bucket carefully and threw the spider on the floor; the spider was just about to jump in when I quickly closed the door. I let out a high pitched whoop of laughter as I had got rid of the spider. I was also very happy as I had got rid of my fear.

Till date I am never afraid when I see a spider.

Autobiography of a Wristwatch

I am tied to your wrist and you look at me to know the time. I have 3 hands. Can you guess who am I?
I am a wrist watch. It has been a long journey and now I am old lying in a dustbin. Now -a- days I spend my time recounting the event that shaped my life. My life began in an enormous factory of Rolex watches. Once I was made I looked myself in the mirror and I was stupefied. I was very charming. I was packed in a box. I was extremely proud of myself as I was one of the most expensive watches of the world. I was sent to U.S.A. and then I was dispatched and sent in a huge Rolex shop. When I entered I was amazed to see other marvelous watches. I was cleaned everyday. I was shining like a star. One day a man who was wearing a suit entered the shop. He was actually Tom Cruise- the famous Mission Impossible actor. When he saw me he just stared at me. Then he immediately gave the cheque to the salesman. I was on cloud nine to be a wrist watch of Tom Cruise. When he wore me on his hand I felt exhilarated. When he went for shooting, the film staff appreciated and praised me. One day when he had to do a hazardous stunt he unfortunately forgot to take me off his hand. He had to do the stunt on a horse. Suddenly the horse neighed in panic and he fell down on his hand and my dial broke into pieces. Then his assistant took me to the nearest watch repair shop. The watch repair man told that I am one of the most expensive watches in the world and there is no other dial that can fit on me, so the assistant told the shopkeeper to throw me in the recycle bin.
Now you would have got to know how I am in such a situation. I have been through many ups and downs in life. I lie here watching my life go by.

Monsoon Magic

"Oh yes, the rains have arrived," I exclaimed loudly. My heart was beating with joy. I was ecstatic.

Strong gusty winds were blowing. The sky was overcast with dark clouds. We could see flashes in the sky and hear the claps of thunder. We knew it was going to rain but we still went for a short drive.

When we were half way, we saw a bright blue peacock dancing in the drizzle. We stopped our car there and took pictures of it. We went further and saw a marvelous rainbow. It was more beautiful then the peacock.

While returning back home, we were very tired because of the snail like speed of the traffic. At last we reached home. It was raining badly and we all were drenched to the skin. My father switched on the TV. They were showing clips of trees that were uprooted, cars were damaged and people were injured badly. After an hour the rain stopped. I called all my friends down and we sailed paper boats and jumped in puddles.

Green slimy frogs were jumping in the mossy Lilly ponds. Lambs were bleating with joy and frogs were croaking. The roads and leaves were clean and shiny.

I like this season very much because it is a relief from the burning heat of summer. It is a lot of fun when we are splashing in the muddy puddles.

Youth Camp Letter

Dear Yaashvi,
I hope you are sailing in the boat of health and happiness. I felt very doleful when you were unable to be a part of the youth camp because of your sister's wedding. But I want to narrate some wonderful experiences that happened in the camp.
It was a two days and one night youth camp. It was a combination of a trek with other activities. we went to Jim Corbett park in Nainital. We lodged into a small at a little distance from the milling crowds that frequent the place during the summer vacations. We were going to trek through the hills. We were ten in all. Our group escort's name was Ramesh who was very strict and firm. I just could not resist the temptation of taking a trek on that roads the path was flanked by tall pine trees that gave off a sweet fragrance The soft breeze carried the fragrance far and wide. The trail led to slopes and terrace fields. it looked very picturesque and I was awed by the industriousness of man who can overcome all natural obstacles to survive. the chirping of birds filled me with peace.
After walking about fifty yards we chanced upon a small rivulet. The clear, sparkling water gurgled as it moved and lashed over rocks and pebbles. we took a stop there and did white water rafting. We quickly changed in a shack near by and resumed our trek. After some time we reached an open green stretch with velvety grass that stretched out before us. Over there we did various activities like archery, riffle shooting, bungee jumping etc. Our group escort taught us various self defense techniques and Jungle survival techniques. This helped us overcome or phobias and helped us to broaden our vision and strengthen our willpower.
The evening sun had stretched before the horizon and we decided to spend the night there. We learned how to make tents and did star gazing. In the morning we decided to go back to our cottage. The return journey was through a shorter trail.
We reached our cottage and took a train and returned home.I hope that you will be able to join us next time in the camp. I will e-mail you some of my photographs. Give my regards to your parents.

For my teacher

Life is about dreams,
Teacher makes it true.
When we have problem,
Teacher always has a solution.
If we forget our book,
Teacher says,"Yes ,yes no problem".
When we get hurt,
she comes running and treats our wound.
Mrs asks"Did you understand?",
If we dont she explains until we get it.
Teachers can do better than computers,
because they have a limited knowledge.
Computers have a harddisk where everything is stored;
But teachers have a HEART DISC where every thing is stored.
Without current computers dont work,
But Mrs can teach us anytime.
I like MRS. TEJAL the best of all

A letter thanking your cousin for the gift he sent to you

Dear Dheirya,
I heard that you have come first in the whole foyer.
My heartiest congratulations to you. I am writing this letter to thank
for the wonderful gift that you sent me on my 10th birthday.

It was a real surprise to me as I have wanted
it for a very long time. It is a very cute & chubby teddy bear. On
The very first day when I got it, I named it 'Softy' because it had a
very soft & smooth fur.

Whenever any of my friends came home they always
ask for the Teddy. They love it so much that they do not leave it for a moment. They all pounce on me for it. I always carry it with me everywhere, for trips, long journeys, friends place and I also sleep with it. It is like a lucky charm for me; because in every competition that I take part I always take it with me. I always win & have won many prizes, medals and trophies.

This was the best gift that I have ever received from any of my brothers and sisters. Thank you once again for the wonderful gift you gave me. Give my regards to Uncle and Aunt.

A Rainy Day

“Rain rain come again, I really want to play!” I exclaimed to myself. Everybody is tired of the heat. We can feel the scorching heat of the Sun and steam rising from the ground. My only wish to God is to get rains and my wish came true yesterday.
I woke up early in the morning. Strong gusty winds were blowing in my face as I went out in the balcony. I saw that the sky was overcast with dark clouds making it a sight worth admiring. Suddenly it started raining and people started running for shelter. I quickly woke my parents up and they were delighted to see it. Then we saw a bike skidding and thank goodness the driver wore a helmet. As the day progressed, the vehicles began moving at a snail’s pace. I requested my mother if I could go to play in the rain and surprisingly she allowed me. My friends and I splashed water on each other and had a rollicking time. We were drenched to the skin. Then my mother called me as the first rain was acidic and it could harm me.
After the rain stopped my grandfather and I went around for a walk. We saw shining clean leaves and big puddles. The sky had a marvelous rainbow and the sky was painted with a variety of hues. We went in a park and we saw boys merrily sailing paper boats and jumping in muddy puddles.
Then at night the sky burst in all it’s fury and it started to rain cats and dogs. Flashes of lightning dazzled my eyes. Streaks of lightning across the jet-black sky made it look magnificent. It rained all night and the next morning I saw people wading through knee deep water.
I wished that it rained everyday and we would get a relief from the burning heat and the floods would result in holidays from school.

Summer Vacations

"We are going to SINGAPORE!” exclaimed my father. My eyes gleamed with joy. I was shocked and pleased.
The summer vacation had started. I had put all my books inside the cupboard. I had two months of vacation. I was going to enjoy the freedom and my mother was not going to be chasing me to finish homework. I was on cloud nine.
The very next Sunday we left for Singapore. I was on the seventh heaven. We visited to many places like the bird park, many theme parks and we saw the Dolphin show and the aquarium. The bird park had the birds from all around the world. As we entered the park I was enchanted to see all the birds. Next, we went to the theme park, we sat in all the rides, we were overjoyed to sit in them.
After two weeks we returned. It was a wonderful vacation and I thanked my parents for taking me for a delightful trip which will stay in my mind forever.

Monday afternoon 4

A horrifying car accident-2

“ Oh no ! “ I exclaimed loudly to my friend. A car had banged into a wall at the corner of the road. I was left gaping with horror.
I saw blood flowing from the site. People rushed to the site. The car had lost control and its brakes had failed. The wind screen had shattered and glass pieces had scattered around the site on the road . The car engine was crushed and fuel was dripping out. The driver had a nasty head injury One tyre had rolled over a girl’s foot who was walking on the road , near the car . After some time an ambulance came. Suddenly, a tyre burst with a bang. The girl on whose foot the tire rolled was crying in pain and they all were taken to the hospital . They had bruises all over the body , but the good news that they all were alive
After this incident I am very careful on roads. I walk very carefully. I don’t want to be a victim of any such accident.

A horrifying car accident

‘Someone call the paramedics’ screamed out loud. A chill ran down my spine. I was horrified.

It was rainy season. We decided to go to Lonavala to have fun. We soon left the city and drove a long way so we decided to stop at Mc donalds. I ate my favorite mc chicken and left for Lonavala.

When I was looking at the greenery outside suddenly I saw a truck overtaking and smashing into an Audi A4 and then it sped away. My father stopped the car and we ran to the black Audi. We saw an old driver and a gorgeous lady.

It seemed that they were in excruciating pain. Glass pieces were in the lady's tummy and she was crying for help and the old man head was injured. Blood was oozing out like a fountain. The sight was horrific.

My dad and I helped them. I pulled the lady out and my dad pulled out the old man. We called the paramedics. They came and took them on a stretcher to the Lilavati Hospital. In the hospital they were taken directly to the ICU and we soon came to know that they were dead. My mother was in tears.

I can never forget this incident in my life. This was the most horrifying accident I have ever witnessed. I could not sleep for many nights and sometimes I cried in my sleep.

Autobiography of a Butterfly

I have gorgeous and colorful wings & you can usually find me in lush green gardens & bushes. Now can you guess who am I? Well, your guess is as good as mine- I am a butterfly having a spellbinding evolution, in comparison to boring, mediocre lifestyle of you human beings. Now, I am sure that you would be dying of curiosity to hear my fascinating life story.
I flutter around on a warm, sunny day in gardens, happily rubbing off my colorful wings & imprinting the vibrant colors on whoever catches hold of me. To start with, I was an innocent caterpillar hiding in a warm cocoon safely & than transforming into a gorgeous butterfly. I was born from a little yellow egg nestled on a huge leaf. After caring & feeding me in the initial stage of my life, my mother left me to search for the food & I started getting used to be independent. Once, I was playing with my other cousins & siblings, when our enemy- a huge eagle swooped down to prey on us, and we all quickly crouched in a dark corner, waiting for him to fly away. I stopped dead in my tracks, hardly daring to breathe also. I was most relieved when the big bird went away & again all of us were as merry as a cricket. Like this after few days passed by, it was time for me to take a long rest in my cocoon. After few months, when the cocoon opened, you could not believe what I had transformed into, out I came as a marvelous, enchanting butterfly. I was one in million – The Monarch Butterfly .One warm day , when I was proudly gliding across in the park , sudden stark white light hit me in my face, which later I came to know was a camera flash , as tourists were trying to click pictures. After a few days I noticed that all my friends were green with envy, as my picture was put up in an exhibition. Oh! I was as cheerful as a lark.
This is my routine, enjoying the warmth of the sun & making the most of it during the warm, sunny days & during the wet spell, hiding in the bushes & recuperating.
So I do not know what the future has in store for me, whether ours will be EXTINCT OR ENDANGERED species, but right now I am living in present & with full faith in my creator , that whatever happens , it will be for our own good.

My favorite food-pav bhaji

“Mmmmm! It is so delicious!” I exclaimed. My mouth started watering when the plate of pav bhaji was put in front of me. Once I started, the food was so scrumptious, that I could not stop gobbling down the food morsel after morsel. Tears were rolling down my cheeks, my mouth started watering, my nose started running and I could almost imagine smoke coming out of my ears, since it was very delectable too. The orange colour of the bhaji finally chopped with white onions, lush green coriander leaves and yellow lemon slices – all adds to the colour riot. The aroma of the pav bhaji itself is enough for any strong person, to start drooling over it. Eating the pav bhaji is indeed a very sensory experience because it affects all the sense of our body. Can you imagine such a great combination of various tastes, aromas and colours all in any other food item?
To top it all, the healthiest way to make children eat all the vegetables without making a fuss about it is, to put it in the pav bhaji. For example, I do not like French beans and cauliflower; my mother will add these vegetables in the pav bhaji. Although, many of us like eating pav bhaji, too much of the dish is not advisable as it causes indigestion and other stomach disorders. But we can always have it once a week. The vegetables in the pav bhaji cover up the harmful effects of it.
So in all the pav bhaji is very healthy. But we must be careful of the amount we eat or we will have stomach problems.

Santa Claus Letter

Dear Santa Claus,
i dont know whether you exist. But my heart insists that you are there.i am extremely despondent as my parents are not ready to give me a present. Could you make my wish come true?
I just merely want a play station 2.But my parents are not willing me to buy it because i would get addicted to it and I would not concentrate on my study but i dont think i would be addicted to it.I promise you that I would study 2 hours a day i would like this gift very much because it makes me fresh and get some entertainment. Actually in my leisure time I would feel sick by watching t.v.every day.i would be exhilarated and astounded if you gifted it to me or convince my parents to do so on Christmas eve.
if you think that my wish is wrong then send me a letter with a reason. If you gift it to me then I would really believe in god. Please reply fast as i am very eager to see my gift.

Wednesday Batches

Vapi Public School Visit

On the 1st of July, I visited the Vapi Public School for a creative writing session. I was received with much enthusiasm from the teachers and the students alike. The buzz in the air had me geared up and excited for the session.
The kids were keen on learning new things today. We discussed about the enhancement of basic vocabulary and penning down your thoughts. It was fantastic to watch kids come up with brilliant imaginative ideas which leaves us gaping with wonder.
I would like to thank the children for sharing this wonderful experience with me. Interacting with the teachers and the principal was rewarding.

Autobiography of an Umbrella

Autobiography of an umbrella
I am a raincoat. In my life of three rainy seasons , I have gone through a number of experiences of which majority are pleased ones. Now I’ve become old and am not much of use but I am satisfied with my journey and spend my time recalling my memories with pleasure.
I was made in a factory in Ahemdabad. I am made of plastic. I have many beautiful and colorful designs and I have a cap too. I was packed to dispatched to a big shop. There were thousands of umbrella’s, raincoat’s, windsheater’s etc. I was the best raincoat in the whole shop. We were displayed in glass windows. One day we were taken to World Trade Center for an exhibition. Everyone was eager as that exhibition would come after every four years. Over there we were kept in a shop which was on first floor. There were lakh’s of people who came to see the exhibition. One boy came and stopped at our shop. He had come along with his mother and wanted to buy a raincoat. His eyes fell on me, I looked so magnificent that he decided to buy me. His mother checked the size and I was perfect for him. His mother paid and took me home. His eyes were shining with joy and excitement. He wore me and stood in front of the mirror and started seeing me how I looked. He packed me carefully in his school bag with other books. The next day he took me to his school. That day it rained heavily and he took me out of his school bag and wore me. I got wet but did not allow him to get wet. Three weeks passed like this and we had fun with each other. One day he forgot me in the school and the cleaner saw me and took me to his home and gave me to his son. The cleaner’s son took me out to play. He was climbing a tree where got stuck and Now I am lying in the gutter tattered and no one wants me as I am waiting for my last breathe to go by.

The Tuesday 4:00 Batch

The kids seemed to be in absolute no mood to study today. I will be surprised if they ever are. However, today, Shainee joined us and we discussed two Sherlock Holmes adventures- The Blue Carbuncle and The Speckled Band. The kids enjoyed it.

An encounter with a ferocious animal

'Eeks! A scorpion!!' I exclaimed.Such a terrible creature.I shreiked with horror.
Last Sunday was the most horrid day of my life. The most ferocious creature, the scorpion was crawling on my leg. I was out of my wits.As it crawled on my leg, beads of sweat formed on my brow.
I had gone to my buildings garden. As i dug to put a seed in the soil,a scorpion came out from there! It landed straight on my leg.I screamed in horror. The ferocious creature was having a gala time exploring my leg.But I was having the worst time I had ever had in my life.My legs shook like jelly. The scorpion made my flesh creep. It started crawling even faster.I took a spade and banged it on the scorpion..Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!That was a foolish thing to do.But atleast I got rid of that wierd creature got off my leg.My leg was bleeding because of the spade.I killed it with the spade.I started dancing but i remembered that I should take care of my wound.
this day was the most terrible day of my life.I will remember it for the rest of my life.

The Class *fun* Room

On the 17th of June (finally!) the classroom was fully furnished and ready. There are 8 desks to seat 8 children accompanied with some breathing space. The Wednesday morning batch seemed really lucky to be the first ones to sit in this room. We hope they liked it! Pictures of the classroom coming up soon!

The First Word

The year started with a big *bang* as our classes kicked in on the 14th of June, 2010. The first thing we started with was a little discussion about the summer vacations. And the stories we got to hear!! They were stupendous. So the kids decided to start with an essay on summer vacations.
They started with a little dialogue either spoken by the teacher, announcing the start of fun-time or with the clapping of hands in excitement upon the fact that they were going to Singapore/Malaysia/Australia.
The kids have written so wonderfully that we teacher's do not feel the need to visit these places having them witnessed through the eyes of the children. We hope they keep up the good work!
Keep visiting for more :)
