The First Helicopter Ride

Dear Samartha,
I am very overjoyed to tell you that this weekend we visited the Doone valley and I wish to tell you about our trip.
I was on seventh heaven when my father told me that we were going to helicopter ride. We reached the helipad center and sat in the helicopter. We could see the lush green farms and if we would look down we could see people who looked as small as ants. Then we passed over the sea and i wondered what would happen if i fell down? I was glad that we had passed from the clouds as we could see small birds flying below our helicopter. As we were flying we saw a whole city as a block and could see cattle grazing in the feilds. I was astonished seeing the pilot's room. Then we slowly landed on the ground and I was overjoyed.
My first helicopter ride had been a fantastic ride . I would like advise you also to go on a helicopter ride if your exams are over. please reply back.
your Loving friend,
Tvisha.

Shopping Centre

SHOPPING CENTRE / COMPLEX
It was a sunny day; clouds were swiftly racing in the sky. It was a Sunday morning. My family and I decided to visit a new mall in the suburbs. It was ecstatic and as merry as a cricket.
We reached the mall in a comfortable car journey. As soon as we entered the mall we were received by a gush of cool air. The air in the complex is distinctly cooler as compared to the blazing heat outside. That’s why no wonder I saw youngsters loitering inside the complex. There were also armed guards stationed out of the complex.
In the main centre of the mall there was a person playing songs of films through 2 giant loudspeakers. Then I made way to the shopping centre. Behind the bill counter, a pretty girl was giving information of the shopping centre. The supermarket on the ground floor had shelves after shelves stacked with cans, packets, bottles and tins of common items like milk, beverages, sweets, etc. I immediately took a lot of things. My mouth was watering. But my mother rejected half of the things. I was dejected. The sales girl helped me in putting the things. We immediately paid the bill and left. My experience in the shopping centre was marvelous.
Then came the game zone. I ran with joy with my heart palpitating with excitement. My brother and I brought a card. There were different types of games – Jackpots, bumper car, volleyball, bike and car rides, etc. The video arcade was filled with youngsters hunched over the consoles feverishly working with their fingers to beat the electronic machine. I played games and got many prizes. I was as cheerful as lark.
As we all were hungry, we went to the restaurants. My mouth started watering. I smelled coffee croissants, pastries wafting from the shop. I munched a scrumptious chocolate cookie. I also had a pizza and a cold drink though I had a sore throat. I was as blithe as a butterfly.
Then we took leave. It was truly a fantastic experience of a mall. I came in the car holding lot of shopping bag and then we went home.

Monsoon Magic

"The Rainy Season had started I exclaimed loudly", it was so much fun.

It was a cloudy day. I set off to school with my bag and umbrella. I had barely left home when it started drizzling. I was hurrying along

with other people who were also hurrying. Soon the drizzle turned to heavy showers and the road was completely wet with water, running

into the drains near a road. I took a shelter near a bus stop and looked around. Little boys and girls were splashing water on one another.

Some children were dancing and jumping with joy. One small boy was trying to float a little paper boat. Other children were trying to collect

water in their tiny hands. Some people were fully wet and did not care, and kept walking. Cars and buses were also drenched.

After I came from school I looked out of window it again started raining. Then I thought, in India the rainy season had lasted from June to September.

During this time the sky is covered with dark clouds. We can also hear the thundering sounds and see the lightening. From my balcony i saw a peacock dancing in the crystal drizzling rain. It looked breath taking.

Thank you

The kite flying trip that went wrong

I ran to the terrace with the beautiful kite I purchased. My first few attempts to make the kite airborne proved futile. Some of my friends came to my rescue soon and my kite was soaring in the air Seeing my butterfly kite in the sky, my friends and I were filled with excitement.
Standing a few feet away was a group of five to six teenagers who were flying different shapes of kites. When his parents went to get some refreshments the teenager with the kite manoeuvered his kite close to my friend's kite. With one swift action he directed his kite towards my friends kite and there my friend's kites string cut into the teenager's kite. This action created sufficient friction to cause my friend's kite's string to snap, leaving his own kite intact.
A short while later his parents returned. With tears in his eyes, he explained to his parents what the big bully had done to his kite. As the wind had died down and night was approaching, and his parents decided to bring him a new kite.
Like this our kite flying trip went wrong but his parents gave him a huge and cute butterfly kite soon he was beaming with joy.

Autobiography of a mobile

An autobiography of mobile phones

You can walk and talk with me. You can play throughout the day with me. Dancing and singing is also possible because of me. I think now you have guessed who I am?

Yes I am a brand new mobile sparkling on the window shelf. I am shiny black and red in colour. My name was etched with a silver colour. I was a brand new Samsung mobile. I was unique and different from others because I had no keypad. I was a touch screen phone. I was slim and trim. I was specially designed for the youth. All the teenagers would ogle at me but I was too expensive.

One day a teenager named Anne liked me a lot. She asked her dad to buy me but her dad found me expensive. But Anne wanted me. She left the shop saying I will only buy this mobile and nothing else . I felt glum for her but I was surprised as Anne’s dad bought me the next day and kept me in the cupboard saying, “I will gift it to Anne tomorrow on her birthday.” I was waiting to see her expressions- happiness and a sweet little smile on her face. At the crack of dawn, Annes’s dad kept the gift next to her pillow where she was sleeping. When she woke up she saw me and screamed with happiness and thanked her dad. She switched me on and checked me in and out. She used to use me very carefully and loved me a lot. But the bad thing was that it was very painful when she would click on me. Gradually I became old and slow in use but I enjoy the lovey-dovey talks which she used to chat on me. She used me for five long years.

Now I am lying in her cupboard doing nothing, waiting for a happy end. I have no regrets of my life. I served my master well and so did she.

An evening in the circus

A Composition on An Evening at the Circus.

All the evenings are very boring. Today my father came very early from office and he read the newspaper. My father read an advertise of a circus in newspaper. As I have never been to the circus before so I got ready at once. He decided to go.
We left by car at 6’o clock in morning. Our time for show was 9’o clock. We reached at 7:45am. We took the tickets. As we entered we sat down as per our tickets. We saw a marvelous stage in front of us. Our seat was in the first row. There was a soft sweet music playing in the background. As the show started, there was complete darkness which was followed by flashes of colourful lights above me.

First, a group of smartly dressed girls came. They were acrobats. They showed us their breathtaking feats on the trapeze. A few clowns were sitting in the arena and entertaining the people with their gimmicks.

After this, four horses galloped in. They were followed by the four riders who jumped on to back of the horses and showed us various amazing feats.

A few weight-lifters entered next. One, of them picked up as much as 2000 kg of weight with great ease. He also made an elephant stand on him. There was absolute silence in the tent during his performance.

For the last item, iron bars were fixed around the arena to change it into a big cage. Lions were brought into the arena by the ring master who had a whip in his hand. The lions performed tricks at the command of the ringmaster.

We enjoyed every item of the circus and returned home thrilled.
