autobiography of a tiger

AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF TIGER

Today there are only 1411 of us are left. Please save me. I am the national animal of India. I am the tiger.

My journey of life has been with many pleasant and unpleasant experiences. I often recall my experiences that shaped my life. I was born in a danced forest in west Bengal leaving with my mother. She was a ferocious animal. I had many friends in the jungle. The jungle was very deep.

There were big trees in the jungle with birds twittering. My mother taught me to catch prey. I was living in a cave. I belonged to the cat family. I looked magnificent with yellow, orange hair. I was marked with beautiful black strips. I had a round head with thick padded feet with strong claws, strong and sharp teeth. I slept and remained hidden most of the day and came out at night. I like to eat large animal like dear, got, sheep and cows. So I went to villagers and ate them. The villagers didn’t like me. They would come to the jungle to kill us. Once when my mom was looking for prey, she saw a sheep. She pounced on it. It was a trap. The hunter killed her. I was very unhappy and decided to kill any human being if it was near me. Once when I was roaming around the forest for prey, I was trapped in a hunter’s net. I was so very miserable. I growled loudly but nobody helped me. The next day they came and took me to a circus. There were many animals in the circus. I was very dejected. We had to do tricks in the circus. The children would come and throw stones. Some time the children wanted to keep me as their pet but they didn’t because they were scared. Once a boy named Ramu came and saw me. His father was a news reporter. His father typed in the news paper that no tiger could work in a circus. The government read this news. They came to circus and released all the tigers. I was also free from the circus now.

The government made a national park for us where hunting was prohibited. I now stay in the Corbett National Park. What a beautiful life I live. I move freely in the dense forest. I sleep whole day and come out at night to eat delicious food. Man should be our friend so I am not a man eater. No tiger will be left in the whole world if man doesn’t take care.

A bicycle ride

A BICYCLE RIDE

Yippee! I jumped everywhere because I saw my new bicycle parked near my house. It was my birthday present .I was eagerly waiting for the next day.

The next day came and there were fluffy white clouds floating across the sky. The sun peaked of the clouds. It was a pleasant and breezy day. I unlocked my bicycle. It was a perfect day for cycling.

I went to the garden. I saw many people cycling in the park. I started riding my cycle. I was exhilarated to feel the breeze on my face. I was caught up in a race. I began to pick up speed. I saw two cyclists coming towards me. I covered my face with my hands. I was horrified, they were very close.

My bicycle smeared, uncontrollable. The cyclist tried to avoid me but they couldn’t. They brushed against mine. I propelled through the air towards the ponds. I screamed at the top of my voice. My arms and legs were hanging in the air.

My bicycle spun out of control and toppled near the edge of the pond. I bruised my forehead.

I walked sheepishly out of the water. One old man had fell down; a small girl was crying because her grandpa fell down. It was a big disaster because of me. I apologized to everyone.

I was scared because my mom would scold me but after I went home she didn’t scold me. She put a band-aid on my forehead and I went to cycle once more. But this time I rode it carefully.

School Annual Day Celebration

Come winter and our school premises are abuzz with ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION activities. The old classical plays or meaningful skits were performed by children toddling their way up a small stage, with costumes designed by their mothers or aunts at home. The Annual day seems to draw inspiration from some extravagant event. In school, right from the ideas to the presentation was done by teachers and experts from other fields.
Today, schools impart knowledge, culture, sport, soft skills and more. So , annual day functions have become status symbols in various schools. Children were happy, as parents took time off to arrange for their dress, make-up and took interest in their performance. Our school’s Annual day function was more joyful , as it was done in the right spirit with the element of fun involved in every activity. Our teachers were present even when external choreographers trained students. It was well-organised. This activities helped improve the teacher-student relationship, while also working positively in building team spirit among students.the element of excessive competition was non-existent.

Save Nature

It looks like nature has no chance
Against the human race

WHY THERE IS THIS SUDDEN BUZZ TO BE NATURAL?

Everyday , we are inundated with the warnings through posters, slogan writing, puppet shows, street plays, to promote water and energy conservation .

Obviously, to achieve a modern lifestyle, we are on a RAMPAGE, disregarding THE MOTHER NATURE completely, and foolishly putting our own survival in danger. Due to greenhouse effects , Higher temperatures causes more violent weather events. Severe storms. Floods, droughts, dust storms, sea surges, crumbling coastlines, salt water intrusion of groundwater, failing crops, dying forests, the inundation of low-lying islands, and the spread of diseases such as malaria, dengue fever. All that , we take for granted , might soon cease to exist.

Recently , a shocking incident came to light. The ice Shiva Lingam , at Amarnath had melted from a majestic height of over fifteen feet to a mere seven inches due to the unexpected increase in the temperature that year—global warming. So , even GODS are affected by the environment abuse.

AURORA BOREALIS – a FIRE RAINBOW, is the rarest of all, naturally occuring atmospheric phenomena ,and can be seen in the skies of the NORTHPOLE, Northern NORWAY, SWEDEN , RUSSIA , DURING WINTER when THE AVERAGE temp. IS -40 C. A TRULY BEAUTIFUL SIGHT !!! But this will be there for us children , only if we can all work with one another to have a better and healthier environment.

One person does make a difference and together it makes a BIG difference . Each generation should take a pledge that they will leave the world safer than they found it. Caring for the environment is a long-term commitment and every effort matters.

We children , will inherit this earth one day. celebrate yours and your family member’s birthdays and anniversaries with plants. Please plant at least 10 or more trees on that day...

Don't use plastics for saving environment. Dont let the garbage enter the rivers. When taking a short trip, choose to walk or cycle. This reduces carbon emissions considerably.

So , please unite together to preserve it , as it is THE ONLY HOME WE HAVE.

A dat without water

Saturday arrived like it normally does without much fanfare. With the exhaustion of the school week – study , activities at the school, classes, behind me I was allowed to sleep till late morning , before my Mother arose ME . Saturday's are my 'cleaning' days .

The house was quiet. I was finishing reading the paper and had just started a bowl of cornflakes in order to get in gear for the day ahead. It was to be the normal Saturday routine .

I walked over to the kitchen tap GUESS WHAT!!!!!!

I got the major jolt..

THE tap was dry, water was nowhere . This has always been my nightmare—trust me on this.

Everyone in the building kept on asking, " What's going on?"

Sigh. It seemed a Herculean effort but it wasn't, it was just fear.

Hours pass. And I mean HOURS pass .

I decided to opt out while EVERYONE IN THE BUILDING were pulling their hair in frustration and curl up with a book.

Water? What can you do without it? Not much. How about a list? No laundry, no scrubbing of the bathrooms, no scrubbing the kitchen floors, no real cleaning of the counters with suds and bleach and the tables either, no baths, no brushing the teeth.

A shower? Well, forget that.

We often drone on about water to drink. I was lucky we had Pepsi's chilling in the fridge.. But I'll tell you, a day without water is a day with lots of frustration & desperation. People have survived without food for weeks or even months, but go without water for even just one day – impossible.

But when the water came back yesterday, it was as if the world had been placed properly on it’s axis once again. The first sign was the happy sound of the toilet filling with water.

That is only my small story of a single day without water, yet much of the world live with far greater water problems than we do

So the next time you turn on your faucet and that wet, wonderful, clear stuff runs out, remember to feel blessed. As you are relishing a full force, hot shower or a refreshing glass of water straight from the tap, remember that water is amazing, precious, vital to our existence.
